‘Reality TV’ was the theme behind Motorola’s ‘MotoNEXT’ week long training event in Palm Springs, California.
Motiv8’s Steve Lang, Steve Deeks and Simon Hill assisted AGA Ltd in delivering the event that outlined key messages to Motorola's US staff. The aim was to build on past success and communicate key messages to help motivate staff to continue this success in the future.
Each Motiv8 trainer ran a workshop loosely based on a popular US TV show:
‘Fear Factor’: Steve Lang led a high energy workshop on the importance of tackling customer issues head on and providing the best solutions for the customer. A series of challenges then encouraged participants to ‘face their fears’ with each challenge providing powerful learning points.
‘Survivor’: A trainer to lead a workshop with a desert island setting? Who else but Steve Deeks? Complete with obligatory shades and laid back style, Steve challenged participants to learn about the technological innovations made by the company and to work out strategies to use these to survive the desert island location.
‘The Amazing Race’: The importance of Market Share was the focus for this workshop led by Simon Hill. In a competitive environment, participants gave a series of presentations to earn their right to travel around the USA and reach Chicago – the home of Motorola.
Delivered with passion, energy and enthusiasm by the entire team, the workshops were supported by Motorola staff and executives who gave keynote presentations that complemented the learning in the workshops.
The training was voted a massive success by the 300+ staff that attended and recorded the highest evaluation results of any previous Motorola event.
